Got a bit of a problem, 3x hdd died (incorrect power cables on a modular psu).
Is anyone able to identify the offending component and replace if I post the boards to you? For beer tokens of course!!

Not enough information to go on. Components look like they may be 'house numbered' and so not identifiable without a circuit diagram, unless anyone else knows better? I can rework the board but it may not improve matters unless all damage can be accounted for.

What model is the HDD ?
Do you have any more of the same HDD to get a full set of numbers off IC33

when a similar situation occurred to my hdd i replaced the entire pcb for a known good one and swapped the bios chip over

Thanks @ajlelectronics and @GafferTapeKing, I have have a replacement on order for one of them to see if I can resurrect it. @pint, swapping board and bios chip is one of the avenues of attack, cheers!
