Any recommendations for classic car insurance?

Need to take out a policy on my MG now that it’s in danger of being on the road shortly.

Have tried to get a few on line quotes with no success - it’s an MGB ffs not some wacky special cobbled together in a back street garage.

Can any one make a recommendation for me to actually call an get some sensible feedback?

Oh yes absolutely. RH Insurance, I can't recommend them enough.

Decent premiums, no Premium rate numbers, full European recovery included, sensible and nice people on the telephones that you can understand and underwriters who are understanding and helpful when presented with the less common risks. So good that I no longer bother to shop around. I have three cars on full cover, many drivers plus business use in person £300 ish.

A good test of an insurance company is how they treat a claim. I can say that they were excellent there too.

Not Adrian Flux. Ive gone with Heritage, they made it really easy to set up an agreed value classic policy and we have expanded to a multi car policy for the everyday cars.

A Plan are good brokers. I use their Thatcham office for a modified Defender but I'm fairly sure they've got a office for normal classic cars.

I've got the 101 with thatcham a plan.
I've used peter best in the past.
I've also used flux, but wouldnt recommend them to anyone whom I liked.

I'm with NFU. Just renewed the cover on my UMM Transcat - £105 fully comp, any driver over 25 but limited to 3000 miles pa.

Classic line here, not had to claim so no idea on that front, they also seemed the best bet for modified oldies which suited me

As promised, an update.

I went with Classic Line in the end, not only for their competitive premium, but also because it is an unlimited mileage policy, even though it’s unlikely that I will exceed 2 or 3k a year. Also included is breakdown recovery and legal protection benefits.
