I've been using pub bottles with a regulator and have been advised that I was using up too much gas. It seemed to go quick. Having lowered my gas use to around 2-1 psi I'm wondering if using a flowmeter will help.
At around 2-1psi virtually closed this is less gas than desirable, but better than no gas at all. I need to start another job and wondered if a flowmeter would actually help with lowering the regualtion of gas at all. Or a flowmeter would only allow me to set it correctly and the gas use would still be relative.
A flowmeter would be a good idea in the precise regulation of gas, but does it offer up any savings.
I.e isn't it just as good to regulate gas in bar/psi and check the results of the weld?
