In theory the bread dissolves, I’d do it on cold water without a thought. I’d freeze it but it means gutting another room to get far enough away.I wouldn't leave anything in there permanently if that's what you're asking. If you can't pick up a can of freezer, use a bung and pull it out after soldering (long bit of string etc.). if you're soldering a right angle that gets a bit hairy. You need some freezer spray.
OTOH you could always cut the tricky part off and use a straight connector to rejoin.
