Any phase converter gurus about??

Ive got 3 phase converters sat in the shed

Came from a closing down factory

I bought them just assuming they were single phase 240 to three phase 415

I was wrong....

Appear to be split phase input/output etc

Ive attached photos of the data plates

Basically im after knowing if i can rewire them to standard phase converter input/output as theyre no use to me as they are

Or if anyones after one as is pm me im guessing they're quite unusual well I've never seen one before so could be just what someone's been looking for

I did put a thread up about them a while ago but they got shoved back in the shed and forgotten about and now I've lost the thread

It looks like the 15Kw one may be 240v single to 480 3 phase ( a little high but may be workable).

If you got hold of a large 10kw single phase site transformer (230/115v) you could re-wire it for step-up instead of step-down and that would give you the proper voltage to feed the first one.

Another thought- the 480v output one might have multiple tapping's on the tranformer. Reducing it to 415v might be no more effort than moving a wire from one terminal to another.
Best to open up the lid and take a look.

And while were here what are they worth??

I paid what i thought was a cheap price of £300 each before i realized they weren't standard i did a quick google and saw new ones were around £1500

Is there any chance of getting my money back or??

only really any good to someone with a 480volt single phase supply a lot of farms have 2 wire 480

I believe a lot of old milking parlours are split phase..

And our hydro scheme uses it but we've got to use a rotary due to varying output depending on power output
