Got myself a boc transmig 110 on ebay with a pub co2 bottle, iv messed about with it and managed to make some pretty crappy welds so far. If there is anyone local that wouldnt mind showing me how to set it up and give me a crash course?
Im avalible pretty much most of the weekend and weekdays after 7. Donny is about 20 miles from killamarsh according to google maps, I dont know the area that well as iv only moved here about a year ago from scotland.
Im also using a crappy hand held mask for now as the mrs dad is sorting me one out from work.
Dont mind covering fuel cost/afew beers if you have some free time and can lend a hand
i'm not far from you mate but atm i've got alot on. if you can hang on til next weekend then i'll happily show you a few things. i'd prefer if you could get up to my house though as it'll be easier for me.
the offers there mate, only in new whittington so about 10 miles, maybe less
Next week should be fine for me Scotty, id prefer to practice on my mig and its a big ****** - so wouldnt want to shift it.
I have been practicing a bit today, looks to be improving -
My "messer" pub co2 bottle is about empty. From what i gather co2 is harder to weld with, and not great for thin metal (il only be doing thin stuff). would it be worth my while getting a hobby gas bottle from http://www.decentralisedwelding.co.uk/gas_supplies_79.html Am i best going for "Argon/CO2 5%
£35.59" + £50 for the bottle rent free.
