Any ideas how to get into the boot of a 2011 Fiesta van?

My quality works van, dash has been saying boot open for weeks now, to gat around it I would just shut the boot get in the car and press the lock button, then it started to be problematic to open from the release handle, so new release handle genuine Ford fitted and all working again until a few weeks later one of the drivers took it for escort work and when he came back told me the boot would not open.
So any good ideas how to get into it bearing in mind it has an internal bulkhead which looks to have the fasteners on the boot side of the car!

My first port of call, apart from youtube, would be to take a look at another vehicle with the same tailgate, on one BMW model we found the if the number plate was removed you could drill a 1" hole and grab a rod with pointy pliers!

No rods sadly as latch is electronic.

You may find that the lock thinks its in the open position! most locks have 1 or 2 micro switches that tell the body control module the door status, long gone is the days of the little switch in the door pillar.
If you can find someone with the right software, they may be able to get the door to unlock.
Some times the wires that go to the lock get fractured at the hinge point and get intermittent connection.
some VW's were plagued by it,

My Mazda6 often wont allow me to lock it unless I unlock it first, and I have started to get alarm problems again.

It was much better having the switch in the door pillar!

Boot loom never thought of that, yet I repair them all the time on the trucks!

Ask on the internet owners groups - clever folk had worked out that one of the cars I had you could disconnect the main ECU under the dash and use a 9 volt PP3 battery on 2 of the exposed wires to activate the boot lock solenoid...
