What are you making? Chances are you will get a dozen suggestions how to machine it and all will be suitable but not necessarily for you or your equipment.

that'll be 0.2mm, if it was 2mm out you wouldnt need to be using a dial indicator, you can see it just by turning it
they were just 2 replacement body mounts for my off roader, the body was lifted 4 years ago but the front 2 had big 1.5" rubber blocks under the mounts, the rubber has now compressed and it also compreses that much the bumper hits the wings on articulation. So made 2 new longer solid mounts to replace the 3" and rubber blocks. all good the job is done and the blocks fitted. I am just learning so any thing to make life easier next time
