any gardeners in?

im not a gardener: i can kill plastic plants. (not kidding- i had a green plastic plant on my windowsill at work. it went brown )


i bought a box of mixed seeds from the range "mixed wildflower meadow or something".

these came up, but i i dont know what theyre called.

anyone id them for me?

i *think* 1 and 4 are the same, just different colours.
they flower first thing in the morning, and early evening.
no. 2 is some kind of vine/climber. the flowers look very similar to bindweed, only pink.

no.3 hasnt flowered, it looks a bit like carrot tops, but 2-3ft high. the yellow flower at the bottom isnt from this plant.

Three is a cosmos of some kind.

One and four look like nicotiana. Do they have scent, especially at dusk?

Recognise the vine in two but can't place it. I'll ask SWMBO when she's home

Flowers are usually a bit sticky at the base on the ovule.

I think 2 is a type of convolvulus, same family as bindweed. Wife thinks the first could be comfrey, but isn't sure about it.

looks like a definite on that one.

I'm 100% (she is also) on the Cosmos as well.

Bindweed one is a bit harder.
