Any Fire sprinkle installers on here??

Hi

I was asked to collect some quotes for a mez floor in our workshop which i have done, I asked our site services manager (my boss) how much it would cost to drop a leg of the existing sprinkler in the workshop down under the mez floor. He said £11K (if this turns out to be true I'm in the wrong job) he has not supplied me with a written quote from any companies.

Really if anyone can i would like a ball park figure for the following:

Drop a 1.5inch (i think) pipe down approx 4mtrs
then 90deg to a 4mtr run with two sprinkler heads to a caped of end.

There is already a valve on the down leg so no need to add any parts.

Can anyone advise me with what a rough cost to install and test the above should be.

bob i really couldnt tell you what it would cost but if it is 11k im enroling at college tommorrow to be come a fire sprinkler fitter

2 lengths of pipe and a handful of fittings - 2 men half day plus travel overheads, proffits etc etc £2,450. More if i knew your boss was expecting it done for 11K!
