There is no remote adjustment of the car in F1 now, and after qualy there is no adjustment to set up allowed, even if it's a wet race. Only the front wing can be adjusted at a pit stop during the race. I was against the DRS system but it has added an interesting variable. Plus they have limited number of tyres, no refueling, engine and gearbox life penalties and fixed engine management.

Now, being a lifelong biker my next comment is going to be a surprise. Moto GP is boring ! There are rarely any proper all or nothing dog fights and electronics have made the riders job much easier and less challenging.
Compared to the stroker days with Rainey, Schwantz, Lawson, Spencer, Gardener, Roberts etc, it's just dull !

Same could be said about F1 though but it has become quite exciting in recent seasons.

Out of touch then, my apologies, but you are right about some races being a bit dull too though. I used to get up at stupid o'clock to watch WSB live from Sugo, Philip Island and Laguna Seca. HagaChan was a revelation then in the horseshoe on the R7.

It did seem closer then, or is the the rose-tinted visors we are wearing.

When Moto2 was announced, standard engine with bespoke frames, I thought I was going to see miniBrittens, miniNessies, ?Elves?, with a boatload of proper innovation. Well that did not happen did it. Just the same shapes, with different colours.

Straying a little, but I know there are cyclists on here too. During the Tour this year, a recumbent trike was seen tearing up the side of the course. The reason you do not see them racing is the ICU banned them in 1934, and the rules state that the saddle. bottom bracket and handlebars have to be within certain parameters. Just the same way that ?FIM?Dorna?IRTA? restrict the possibilities for bike racing, and presumably FIA in F1.

I did see that on the tour screen left behind the trees i think?

I went to watch pit bike supermotos racing and most were identicle specs just the riders that made it interesting

I actually quite like Moto 3, those little 125 4 stroke singles are ace !!
Anyone remember BSB when the Norton Rotary's were racing ? Pigs in the corners but streaked off down the straights ! Trevor Nation was a real hard man !

I was reading an article by someone bemoaning the lack of press & TV coverage for motorsport, he'd put a few facts & figures together, one of them being more people attended the Friday practise day at Silverstone than a full ground at Man united!

TV coverage of Motor sport in the UK is total pants. Eurosport was the best channel when it was analogue.

Motors TV is just repeat repeat repeat

Has anyone got a system to pick up other channels and or satellites, and is there anything worth watching

The daddy of motorsport channels is Speed Channel in the USA, wish I could get that !
Hot Rod's channel on youtube is good, particularly the roadkill features.
