Any engine builders near Fraserburgh

Anyone overhaul engines near Fraserburgh? I’ve got an old pushrod engine I want a bit of work done; cam, timing gears, flywheel and clutch changed.

There is a diesel engine rebuilders in inverness though i forget the name. They may be able to help, when asked they were willing to overhaul a series landrover gearbox for me. Its on the industrial estate not far from Highland industrial suppiles.

Not moved, still in Ure St, Dundee but they are called Agra precision engineering so probably a different company.

There is also Engine Resource in Dundee but that is maybe a bit too far.

I'm sure you have plenty of other things to do but why not just do it yourself?
If it's a pushrod engine (Volvo?) it's very straight forward and you might even enjoy it.
The bits you are talking about are all simple and don't need much specialist kit (if any)

I did a bit of work on the brothers Penta boat engine (B20) which was very easy to work on.

I knew of them but think they have closed there and only in Dundee.

Yep, going to drive down to the Scottish Riviera and do the rebuild. Good excuse to get away from all of the NC500 camper vans for a bit.
