Any clock tinkerers out there?

Any one into clock repairs?
My other half has an old clock that she thinks her dad over wound years ago. See photo. The cloths are there to keep pendulums or chimes etc under control.
I can open it up for clearer photos if anybody might be interested in looking at it.

My mates dad is into clocks if no one on here can help
(I highly doubt someone hasn’t been a clock maker in a previous life)

I can ask for his number for you as he’s an older chap and doesn’t do the internet

My first go at posting I missed out the L in clock.
