Anti-Marten, Lithium, Graphite, Silicone sprays - Why?

In my local Lidl this evening, and mooched around the middle aisle, as one does...
There were a variety of spray's on offer - Brake Cleaner - got some - know what it does, but the others got me thinking - why would i buy them - i.e. what use are anti-Marten, graphite or lithium sprays?

Graphite is a dry lubricant, in that it shouldnt wet and absorb dirt, so is supposed to be good for locks or sliding parts that you dont want oiled.

Lithium is a spray grease? Could be useful although I'd normally just use it from a tub.

If you have issue with martens, rodents, small mammals, perhaps chewing cables, eating things they shouldnt... the can might be useful to throw at them?

I once had a car in storage which had a couple of mice take up residence and did some damage. My two cars live under a car-port and it's that time of year when a million spiders have appeared; I've bought some peppermint oil, which you make in to a spray and is supposed to drive them away.
I've never had any graphite spray, but do have some graphite powder and used in on a lock just a few days to good effect.

It’s a big thing in Germany. Martens can quite easily write off a car by chewing through wiring, eating insulation etc. Like mice but even more destructive. Wether the sprays work or not, I can’t say. Cats seem to help.

Workmate had a 3 year old Mini written off after leaving it parked at the farm for a couple of weeks while he was on holiday, rats/mice had done so much damage to the trim, upholstery and wiring the insurance Co. wrote it off.

Several reports onT6 forum about fox damage to wiring underneath the van. Reputed that the insulation is soy based and that is what attracts foxes and rodents. Grease mixed with chilli flakes is supposed to work as a deterrent.

Yep I use that Marten spray under the bonnets of the seldom used / project cars.

Graphite oil is mustard on door locks, uPVC window hinges etc.

Silicone spray for car bumpers, tyres, pushing soil pipes together etc.

Love a Lidl aerosol!

A neighbour has a little Peugeot van, allegedly some of the wiring has fish oil in the insulation so it gets attacked by rodents.

guy i worked at had a brand new mini 2 weeks old wrote off had a party at his house and put there great dane dog in it ,it totaly ate everything inside seats carpets dashboard steering wheel door cards roof linning the full works
