Anti-freeze question.

Howdo chaps.

My OH's friend has mistakenly put anti-freeze in the screen wash bottle on her car. Even though it will obviously be diluted, will it cause any damage to paintwork/mechanicals, etc,?

I'm happy to drain it if needs be, if only because her mate is splendidly hot. . Fit, dim, and single, what's not to like?

WELL IT NEEDS DRAINING THEN doesn't it ??? and it needs washing and more washing
take it from another per sorry mechanic.

Also if she has got it on her hands and clothes she needs help to wash it off

Change the coolant too - just in case she's put screen-wash in it.

Try not to spill it all over the road when you drain it. It's absolutely lethal to pussycats but they love to drink it because its apparently very sweet.

Anti-freeze, or methylated spirits, may be added to a mixture to give the product a lower freezing temperature. But methanol vapor is harmful when breathed in, so more popular now is an ethanol winter mix, e.g. PAV[clarification needed], water, ethanol (or isopropanol), and ethylene glycol.

Thats why there is no paint on planes then

If draining is to be done, have no fears for our four-legged chums, all drainings will be safely disposed of. OH has texted her the bad news, am awaiting a reply. If she wants it, draining that is , I just hope her daughters keep out of my sight. 17 and 18 years old, they're so hot they could weld without a rod .

Goodness, I need a cold shower .

Just a point talkin about paint stripper and bitter things my missus I was just washing my hands and remembered I have orange swarfega over the sink and it has dripped on the tap and brought the paint off!!

If you are mixing some mortar or concrete for a non critical job and want it to set quick? Ethylene Glycol anti- freeze from your garage mixed in the water.
Works a treat especially if frosty.

I think we should all be admiring the 'young lady' for the attempt at maintenance. Most would not, could not care a jot.

That would be too quick----------- especially if she is FAABD * see below
you would have to take time over this and need lots of tea making and help to hold the light etc
