Evening all.
As the title suggests. Some more learner welds for adivce.
It's welding trolley of course, not finished yet but getting there. A combination of 40x40x4 angle and 30x2 SHS. I was struggling to get the welds on the 4mm looking right, they seemed to be a little 'proud' still and I coudn't get much visible penetration on the underside (mitred but joints). Although adding a bit of a 'V' to the joint seemed to improve them.
Welder is an R-Tech mig180 and the recommended settings (only a guide I know) are 5.5 for volts and wire feed for 4mm but I was up around 7 for volts and 7.5-8 for wire feed.
The welds on the SHS seemed better generally. This might be as they were after several hours so starting to get my eye in...
