Get a trailer with the wheels in the right place
Bob
I bet reversing is fun.
Actually it should be very easy to reverse
The longer between the tow hitch and the axle the easier
Like wise the shorter the distance between rear axle of tow vehicle and tow hitch the easier and the shorter the tow vehicles wheelbase the easier
move the axle forward till theres just about half a sack of spuds weight on the towbar .will be easier to reverse as wellThis just popped up on the Volvo FB page:
'How do i make the car ride higher with the trailer on?'

I am not so sure about the longer wheelbase trailers being easier,
Get in a unit and shunt a 28' trailer then a 40'. I used to sheet and shunt trailers before they all went to larger curtain sides and the short trailers react a lot quicker to inputs from the steering making them harder to get into bays for loading. Power steering was also a big boon when we got a new unit.

Worst I have had is either a 750kg chipper on an 18t lorry or a 2.7t ifor on a 26t beaver tail with the towball right at the back of the back of the body
you need to swing soooooooooooooooooo wide on bends , left turns and roundabouts to keep it out of the scenery
my new van hasn't a centre mirror and the trailer isn't as wide as the van so cant be seen when reversinghave to zigzag it so it can be seen. when I get round to it put some of them rubber reflectors on it sticking out to make it easier
