Plumbing in a new ‘back to wall’ toilet and have a problem with getting the soil pipe connector to seal.
The problem is that the spigot from the pan is (slightly) tapered, which results in the connector sliding down it when the jubilee clip is tightened, whatever the position along the joint.
It then leaks...
I’ve just remade the joint with some strategically placed silicon and left it to cure overnight.
Surely I’m not the first person to come across this type of problem?
Any words of wisdom or the blindingly obvious solution would be appreciated.
