10mm plate open butt joint root,hot pass then 2 split hot passes/caps

first go screwed the root up
Second go screwed the hot pass up (never left enough room)
3rd go seriously hacked off perfect root, perfect hot pass perfect 1st half of the hot pass/cap 2nd half machine took a dump /gas problem so very splattery told to grind it flush and redo the pass

Instructor ummm and arrred then said its fine no worries

So the secret must be to get hacked off with it

No Idea what machine just a miller to me and the pieces go away to me tested and I forgot to take a photo
