Another Parking eye rip off

3 times a week I drove my dad up there, for several hours each day. About £4 a time for parking, plus several sisters also went. So someone was earning mayne £50 a week from having my mum in their stroke unit for 3 months.

Sad thing is they were not earning anything.....just being given it for doing nothing.

Up here north of the border the freedoms of information act doesn’t apply so any fines from private parking company’s just go straight in the bin, yes they send out lots of threatening letters, but that’s all that happens and eventually they give up.

Very appropriate figures, but even if it's double, or triple that time span, it's a magnificent return, if you have a captive audience (like at a hospital).

bloke i do work for opened a carpark opposite the hospital and charges 2 quid a day hospital carpark is double that needless to say . im ok my van numbers on the parking list so dont have to pay

Charging for hospital parking, just moves the problem to the neigbouring streets. Causing Emergency vehicles, and bin wagons grief.

Same with our local hospital, it's less than a 3 minute walk from the housing estate next door, so guess where a lot of people park.....

as long as the parking was cheap and benefited the staff of the hospital im fine with the parking charges

i will never agree to staff being charged for parking as they are doing there jobs for our loved ones however car share must be implemented

the above can easily be built in many hospital grounds its a good idea for both the staff and visitors

the issue stands with greedy parking charges just to visit ill members of the family that i dont agree upon

This has always annoyed me about our local hospital parking charges, I bet they worked out the average stay was 1 to 2 hours so don't give the option and make you pay for 3

When Mrs Robo was in for any length of time I bought the weekly concession.
