Another noob here!!

Hi there peeps newbie here Found this site while reserching mig welders on da net. Farmer at heart but interested in mig welding. Used one a few times, much nicer than my old oxford arc set up!! Have a few jobs coming up on farm and would really really like a nice shiny new welder for them!! So yu all can look forwards to some real stoopid questions! Many thanks in advance.

hello Oxfords are more usable for thick stuff unless you spend silly money on a BIG MIG

The big oxford is good for fixing the digger buckets and heavy things like that! But i have quite a few gates to make and if i feel up to the task i have a round bale clamp to make and on the flip side of the coin is that I has mudguards to weldifacate to an old rusty MF 690!! That will be a bit of a task!

that lot will keep you out of miscife for a while. We like pictures or projects especially big toys

Sigh;....oh i wish mr sparkey shared that opinion....there's soooo much to do on a farm with a shiny mig welder!!!!! I've been wining his ass off about buying me one...but no luck yet!
Maybe i have to kill that old arc set he has first... hehe, only joking!
