Hi all
I've been welding for at least the last 20 years ( don't want to count them to hard ) I was originally taught how to do all types of welding and went on to work in the motor trade,
Unfortunatly due to a disabilty I had to give up work about 10 years ago but have kept my hand in by restoring / rebuilding / repairing old Toyota's. We ( me and my Dad - who is in a similar boat + retired ) use them to keep moving , with me if I didn't do them I'd be in a wheelchair by now. We've done 2 Crown's (both 1972 , 1 estate converted to pick-up , the other has been fitted with engine, box and running gear from a later model ), 1 Cressida ( 1978 which has been modified internally - now runs 2.6 straight 6 with 3spd = o/d auto ) with another waiting ( which is a 1977 very rare japanese import )and several Corona's and I've also started on Granada's as well - especially as I run a 3.0 Granada Cosworth and their are 3 in the family.
The welders that I've been using are a Snap-on migmate 130 and recently my dad ( who dosn't weld ) bought a Clark 135 te to ' replace ' it as we have to rebuild the garage in his back garden - all metal 25' x 9' , however I prefer using the snap-on , but it has started to play up recently.
