Another newbie

Hi all, thought I better join up after 30 years professional welding, now pretty much retired through ill health and only amusing myself with personal fabrication and welding projects part time.
Its in the blood, I don't think I could ever really stop.

Currently building a 'silent' compressor - 13cfm specifically to run my tyre machine.

Are those the £70ish 750w ebay/aliexpress pumps? I'm tempted myself as the pump on my lidl compressor is on it's last legs left due to manufacturing fault.

They originally came off some 'sip silent air' compressors. they were customer returned new complete compressors. Got a right deal....

These are 1.5kw each. Probably all made in the same Chinese factory though..
