I do admire you vehicle restorers.
I also think you are all mad.
Only a bit of rust to deal with?
Then again it does look all there and might be quite sound.
Chunko'.
Nice one!
In their day, they used to race those on the track. They were originally designed by aircraft engineers after WW2, and were a strongly-engineered car. One of the first UK monocoque designs, I think.
Best of luck with the resto', and post some pics when you get cracking on it.
Thanks everyone,i only got it Friday so not had a chance to do anything to it yet.It is complete and came with 2 new sills,4 new hubcaps and a brand new carpet set all from the owners club which cost the guy i got it from more than i paid for the car so i'm thinking i got a good deal. The guy making off with the scaffold is the old chap that sold me the car. It's going to be 100% original yes.
I am glad you are keeping it original. That way you experience the true flavour of period motoring.
I owned an A30 in my youth and often wished it was the later A35. Very usable cars on A roads.
