I ran across this site on another one I go to,So I figured I'd check it out.Seems like a nice place.

My name is Paul and I'm live in Andalusia Alabama.I've been in the welding and Fab Business most of my life.Now that I'm retired I do it for fun.

I'm also getting into Machining,I have picked up a few machines over the last 2 years.I hope to get more...

Welcome Paul.

Guess it becomes a hobby once you've retired so you're in it for fun like a lot of us here. I was thinking what I would do if I retired at my young age, and decided I would probably keep on doing acoustics - my career (but maybe do it less often). I've even bought a 1984 Genrad 2515 as my personal measuring equipment. That's another thread, but if anyone knows why it doesn't work I'd be interested.

So what toys do you have? I have a Miller Syncrowave 300 TIG, a lovely Portamig 181 MIG, and a wonky Kerry lathe. Other toys aren't really worth the mention.

Thanks for the welcome.I have a MM 251 MIG with spool gun,A old miller tranformer 310 amp Tig with Hf,A old Linclon AD/DC stick machine.

A Butler550 Lathe,LagunVertical Mill,A 1942 K&T Milwaukee Vertical Mill,A Surface Grinder.The last 2 I got for hauling them off.They both work good enough for me.

Lots of other small tools,Like everyone else has that does welding....

They were good machines,And most still are.Heres a picture of the one I got for free.
