Hi all,
as the title says i need help choosing a welder,
i am currently rebuilding a 1974 series 3 land rover, when i bought it (quite a few years ago) all it appeared to need was a new bulkhead and some doors,
however its chassis was a wreack etc so its all stripped down and in bits, now i will need a welder capable of welding the chassis, the door pillars and a bulkhead footwell,
ive done abit of research on the matter and would i be right in thinking i need a 150amp one? i was going to go with a clarke and run it off gas not gasless this a good idea or not?
ive never done any welding before and was going to practice like mad then do the doors the bulkhead and chassis in that order hoping i get better as i go along
Thanks for the help Jord
