Another cracking tig session

Had the pleasure of meeting one of our female members today miss @KimB .
She came round my neck end of the woods armed up with her TA202 AC/DC for a session on aluminium and stainless steel.
Great girl and a good laugh. Pretty bloody handy with a tig torch I must add. I thought we were in trouble when before the first run I’m sure she was going to start welding backwards (sorry Kim couldn’t resist) going forwards however she’s a force to be reckoned with and the progression was awsome. Started on 3mm alu. This was easy for her and difficult joints like the fillet and lap were bashed out.
Went to 2mm 1050 and she struggled. We got a good few on this gage where things started going well but the changes in the pool were running a bit away from her. Then the stainless. Whole new thing. Took to this like a duck to water. Fillets laps outsiders she had no problem getting them coming out nice. Home work to practice on Kim.

The fillet at the bottom was a really nice one too. My pics don’t do them justice. She got some which are probably better.

She did all 4 sides of that box Pete I’ve actually not shown the best side.
This ones a cracker cos she got the corner nice and rounded off

All credit to @Richard. for the time he puts into this training/instruction. Many people like to keep knowledge to themselves but it's very rewarding to see someone learn.

Top work @KimB , I've seen welding on commercially available stuff like header tanks that's not as good as that final picture Richard posted.
