Read @steveo3002 post on his Focus ac which gave me the idea to post my oncoming job here.
Had the car since 5 years now, and had the ac refilled two years ago.
It still worked quite well but not as good as rigth after filling.
When recently servicing it saw a big green spot on the condenser (center bottom)
Brougth it to the garage where they emptied the system.
There should be 955 gram (it has passenger ac as well) so there is at least one leak, I have no reason to assume there are more.
To save money this time and in the future, and gain experience in this interesting field I decided to replace the condenser myself, also since I can take more time for leaktesting and vaccuuming I can do a better job then the garage, how difficult can it be
I bougth a nrf easyfit condenser with dryer in it, and a set of gauges, vacuumpump I have.
Gauges
I thougt to leaktest with compressed air before replacing the condenser dryer to see for more leaks but after reading @fzr phil and @Ubique posts decided not to, I do have Argon but don't know what pressure (albee bottle), so will just do vacuumtest.
For pressuretest and filling I will go back to the garage.
There was one more isue I forgot to investigate before emptying the system.
With the ac switched on and the engine idling the pump rattled a bit.
It first started doing this a year ago and it very slowly became worse.
First thougth was the em clutch, but then it should be only when switched off?
Are there any tests I can do to determine the cause? Garageowner suggested it migth be the lack of lubricant due to the leak and see after filling it.
