Angled pressure washer lance recommendation required (>90*?)

Trying to clean the car here, prior to some work, and hit the same issue that always irritates me - my karcher lance shoots the water straight out.

...which is rubbish for things like the wheel arches (and a whole load of other places)


Can anyone recommend anything? I dont really want to spend more than i did on the washer either!

Karcher do near right angled (75 degrees?) lances for their pressure washers. The one I have is quite long, and has a fair sideways kick when used, but is handy for getting right under the car after the winter season, and also useful for getting a wide sweep radius when jetting roofs. I made something to fit on the end of a Kartcher hose (I had the pump/motor and the hose but not the gun). It would be easy enough to make something similar with a right angled head if you had a lathe. If I've still got it I'll upload a picture.

I have found a company on ebay selling these -

Theyre kind of modular - you can choose the center section that you like (they have a 135 degree bend) and the jet angle also.

I just cant find the exact combination on any of their current listings, but ive mailed them. Seem cheap enough (the part in the photo is £15 inc delivery)

There is a simple option Julian.

If you have an old section of lance or even a broken one you can often get a piece of copper brake pipe and make a ferrule, you can either drill a piece of metal rod and tap the inside of it, or turn it down and form a male thread and tap the inside of the lance to accept it. On the other end of the metal ferrule you drill it out and solder the copper brake pipe into it, you then flatten down one end and when nearly flat you insert a piece of thin plate such as 1.6mm and flatten down to this, assemble and screw together, you may need to adapt the end depending on your jet wash, then once correct you bend the copper pipe to your desired shape.

I made a 90 degree one several years ago for cleaning drain traps our, works brilliantly/

From the fitting shown in the picture I take it that the washer in question is a small karcher with a plastic lance. I would have thought that 135 degrees would be \_ sort of angle rather than /_ but the steel tube could be bent to what angle you like with an appropriate pipe bender

Nilfisk do a multi angle adaptor for about £20. You might be able to adapt it to a Kärcher lance.

Sorry, that's only up to 90° I'll keep looking.

The £25 it will cost me (or there abouts) should hopefully come back with less time cleaning / doing repairs due to long term mud!

Must admit its something Iv looked for in the past but after reading this post I knocked this up today had a couple spare lances I found in a skip

Works a treat and not fixed to one angle
