I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this idea but would like to hear from anyone that's tried it.
I need something to sharpen 5-12mm drill bits and roughly sharpen cold chisels and the like. I don't own a bench grinder and generally don't don't like them anyway.
In work I'll sharpen most things with our disc linisher and only use the bench grinder for tungsten carbide.
A 4ft disc linisher isn't really an option for my garage so was thinking about mounting my current 115mm angle grinder with a dodgy switch to the wall and make an enclosed guard/ tool rest for it.
This way I can use the money I would've spent on a bench grinder on a nice new angle grinder.
Would a grinding disc be too course / uneven?
