I don't buy cheap tools (anymore) for several reasons.
1. They break far too easy and I'd rather spend time on my projects than have to spend several hours going for a replacement.
2. When they do work, they usually don't work that well.
3. I'd rather not financially support Chinese sweatshops if possible.

Using quality tools in the first place makes everything quicker, gives better results and is less of a hassle to get a job done.

I have an 18V Milwaukee lion drill.

It has performed flawlessly and is lighter than my Dewalt 9.6v. It is a bit noisy (PWM noise not gear noise) and I wish the light would come on before the drill moves.

Was more than I wanted to spend but the Dewalt 18V are just too heavy (did a drywall ceiling and my arms ached Wanted a Li-Ion drill for lightness and the Milwaukee was the only one I really considered.

My Dewalt 9.6v did last 9 years of serious abuse though.

Impact drivers Shenion, a 12v is powerfull enough to fire in 4" woodscrews without any pilots.
Half the size and even lighter.

Heck, my 9.6v Dewalt could handle 4" screws with no problem other then snapping the heads off if they bind.

This Milwaukee is even stronger.

I used to use dewalt, bosch, and pro-drivers(???) Got so fed up with them always burning out just at the cruical moment that i now have one in a box in with the rest of the tools in the truck and one that i'm using. I wouldnt be with out my milwaukee now..... Duck!
