I think they only made one mistake in the construction. They should have painted the guard red, so when the blood starts flowing it wouldn't show up too much. Definitely a darwin award candidate.

Especially a two-stroke. I mean what can possibly go wrong that your saw doesn't start? My bet is that it either had stale fuel in, hadn't been primed or just hadn't been started in so long that it took a while to get warmed up. But no, do the dangerous option first.

Guessing the motor will burn out plus no safety brake and no speed or power control. And no point as you can buy an electric chainsaw for same price.
My bro ditched his chainsaw for a reciprocal saw. He only has a homestead and reckons it does all he needs without the maintenance and sharpening chains.

Bosch 18V recip. saw is what I use for tiding up the small trees and shrubs in ZX9 towers, if I need anything bigger done its time to call in the pros 'cos chainsaws scare the wits out of me.
I've had one for probably 20 years. safe as houses. Been too scared to use it..

Chainsaws don't need speed control, you should be flat out before you start cutting and keep it wide open till you stop.

How very dangerous! I wonder what tool will he modify to replace his angle grinder when the inevitable happens to it?
Also how did the guy from Leicester get a circular saw blade to fit an angle grinder, I thought they all had different bores?

I have seen chainsaw artists use them and they don't seem much more dangerous than a chainsaw especially given the way they use their saws.
