Angle/corner brackets

Would anyone know the correct name of these brackets..

I like the look of brackets and rivets, was interested in the history behind it.

Why were things made with rivets? was it just pre welding...

Rivet construction carried on way beyond the period when welding procedures were developed as it took some decades before acceptable testing procedures could be relied on.

If it's only the look you are after make the brackets, buy the rivets, drill hole to fit rivet weld from backside grind flush!

The dexian shelving at my last place of work had those triangles in all the corners. I assume theyre still available.
