I have a fire stick on all my TV's but Dad would have no chance as he has a very limited broad band and no speed increase available.Just get an Amazon firestick and jailbreak it
Or,get an android tv box and do some research,so bloody simple a chimp could do it
And before you all start wetting yourselves its not illegal to hack it,but might be what you do with it,get meKodi and VPN

cricket and soaps ,hummmmmm, cowboys films, wow, now thats a dadI have a fire stick on all my TV's but Dad would have no chance as he has a very limited broad band and no speed increase available.
I wanted an Android as I know what I can run on my phone.
I actually did a lot of research on controlling a firestick remotely.
But whilst it can be done on a LAN it does not work on a WAN or Internet.
Team viewer was an option at one stage but it was too messy.
To be honest he only really wanted to watch cricket , soaps and cowboy films. He likes recording stuff as he regularly falls asleep and needs to watch it again.
