Hi all, hoping there's a friendly tech-head amongst you who can answer some questions for me. All three Android phones in our house have been getting a bloody annoying message possing up saying something like 'Uninstall Harmful App Bluetooth Share is potentially harmful'........ etc etc and with a big DISABLE button on the message. I looked and thought it was malware or somesuch and closed the message, wifey got it, asked me and did the same. My 17 year-old son, however, thought it looked official, hit DISABLE and now his Bluetooth won't work. The Bluetooth page is visible but switching the switch ON produces no result/no devices found and the scan for new devices option is missing.
Looking on t'internet it appears the only option may be a factory default reset, but we have to back up all of his files before this.
My question is, is it just a case of using a file manager such as Total Commander to move all of his photos, music etc to his SD card, remove said card and then select the FDR option or is there more we need to do?
If there's a simple, idiots step-by-step on the 'net please can you direct me to it as I want to help him but don't want to cause him too much upset.
p.s. my son has mild Asperger syndrome so things like this tend to really distress him, so I'm trying to minimise the harm already done.
