Compressor spins nice and quiet, at pressure the bulb doesn't get get bigger but it glows brighter

I'm a collector of things antique - I would have paid easily £200.00 for that - and I think I might have lost it if I had stopped there at auction. It's a work of art, and innovative use of the device without ruining it.
Art Nouveau, retro, call it what you will, I would gladly give it a home with display space!
