Actually remembered to take some photos today. Been fixing the rot in the floor of my BMW, it's mainly been caused by water getting into the cabin due to a blocked pollen filter drain. The underlay on these is about 3 inches thick so water can sit for ages before you realise it's there.
The area being sorted is the very rear section of the floor, right next to the fuel tank. To get access I had to drop the tank, and to drop the tank I had to remove the exhaust and prop shaft. Have had fun with that lot!
Chopped out the rusty bit with a hacksaw blade in the end as access was a bit tight with the grinder. Bit of CAD today and been knocking up the repair section ready to weld in next weekend..
