I haven't got a TIG welder yet but I've got an idea for a simpler cooler setup.
Two gas bottles a large one and a little one.
The little bottle will have two solenoids fitted one normally open and one normally closed. Connect these into the same supply as the gas solenoid in the welder. So when the shielding gas is flowing the solenoids are energised.
The normally open will close once energised and the other will open. This will let some compressed air into the tank. This will then push out the water which will be stored in this tank via the torch. This will then return to the second gas bottle.
When the solenoids are de-energised then the tank will vent back to atmospheric pressure which will stop the flow of water and then the 2nd bottle can empty into the first tank via a one way valve
This removes any problems with finding a pump.
It won't work at a high duty cycle but its perfect for light use
