Take a screwdriver with you, there is sure to be something in the room that you don't need and can borrow the plug from like the hair drier

I took my precious biax scraper to Norway and got fed up with using the plug adapter so whilst I was there I was looking around for a Norway plug to put on it, but couldn't find one. Good job too because I got pulled by Norwegian customs for 'trying to export machinery' in my hand luggage and the only reason the accepted my story that I had brought it with me from the UK three days earlier was because it still had a UK plug on it, otherwise it would have been confiscated!
