Amadeal bandsaw

I was set to buy a Clark bandsaw on the MM VAT-free day next week when I saw this one from Amadeal http://www.amadeal.co.uk/acatalog/Bandsaw.html
It's cheaper than the Clarke, even VAT-free and it looks like it could be taken off the stand and bench mounted - not sure that can be done with the Clarke. Anyone have experience of these?

Looks to be the same as mm with a different stand. Both can be removed

I have got the Clarke one, it's been a great saw for the year I have owned it, I would judge it as a hobby / very light industrial unit, also can be used in the vertical position.

Mainly used for box to 50mm, solid round to 15mm and flat 30mm x 5mm, certainly beats a hand hacksaw and heart attack

Its different to the Clark branded one known as Chester, Nutool, Warco, Axminster, Sealey SM5 and several other names. £170 12 yrs ago as a comparison.
The Armadeal one is the same as branded ones such as Sealey SM65 £350 12 years ago, red then.

You pay for the name with Sealey even discounted about 40% more.

The problem with the SM65 is the overhang from end of quick release vice to blade. You are going to struggle to cut anything less 2 1/2" long, other side of vice needs packing.
Bearings didnt last long in mine about 18 months. I dont rate the vertical as a proper cutting method two csk screws are close together holding the vertical base on, it will do the job but aint accurate same as the other versions.
I bought mine without the legs, they have rubber adjustable feet.

Even if the Armadeal was £60 more it may be worth it for the vice alone. Considering its cheaper, go for it.
