80mm deep sides on those ebay folded ones - even at 3mm thick they are going to be pretty stiff. 25mm return with stringers to stop them spreading. Still look good to me.

Weak bit might be the connection to the trailer/vehicle.

I had a set which I sold which were 6mm Ali folded in a top hat section. Only disadvantage was anything with a wide wheel wouldn’t fit in the trough.

advantage was if you were driving up on your own they were easy to navigate.

I’m not sure where they were made but more than good for a car.
