it's something i'll have to try.what kind of temp do you normally heat to? or doesn't it really matter.

Yes temperature matters, too hot and you will boil the alloy. if you have tempilstiks, use them for a temp guide, say 75c to a max of 125c.

Does the 1mm wall pipe take fluid?

i'll try that if i have to do another. got a hot plate at work so can keep temp consistant. i think the smaller pipe is for air and larger one is for sea water.
