If you are handy on a lathe a dome type pressed cap might be achievable but the more you shrink the material over the punch the more difficult it is for a nice end product

they are cool, i have done a small amount of spinning as I once tried to make some velocity stacks. An off the shelf part would be preferable though as creating the hemispheres is a project in itself!

Needs to be a fully polished metal prototype, I have made a few scale prints of it to test proportions etc.
