Aluminium Box To Plate

Still getting the graniness in my aluminium welds with both 4043 and 5356 (BOC filler rods) but these are some welds for a gangplank/handrail job I'm doing this weekend. It's a repair job I've done twice before. 3mm aluminium box and 90 tonne excavators don't mix.

Preheated, vee'd, whacked in at max amps off the pedal on my Rtech.

Apologies forgot to say 2" box, 3/8" and 1/4" plates. All 6082.

Here's is a stiffener I've welded onto the manky bent handrail section I've bought home. Just wire brushed around where I was welding, and acetone. This has been sat over the Thames for God knows how many years, so people can see you don't need to go mad with wire brushing new/relatively clean material.
