Afternoon All,
I hope you are all well.
I've been making what are in essence just aluminium boxes to house batteries for electric bikes and they are solid enough and do the job (the welds are not the prettiest but strong), however, I am not happy with the way the access door is attached to the rest of the box as right now it requires either: bolts running through the box to clamp the side panel/lid in place or multiple smaller bolts cut down and screwed into the box.
Both functionally work, however, I would love to make them so no single bolts ever points in toward or runs through the housing itself and welcome any ideas how this can be done?
Pic is the last one to give an idea:
The access panel on this one on this side and has a flange folded over and many small bolts...
