Hi guys newby here. Iv'e now got the hang of welding with this little gasless machine, useing 0.8 fluxed wire, & find it very helpfull however I find mysefl wanting to do more, so haveing a cyliderhead from a range rover 3.5 with a great long split, (momentary loss of brain, no anty-freeze) down one side I wonder, is it possible to get flux core wire for welding alluminium, as in afore menchioned cyl. hd.? If it is who sells it?

i would never bother to weld a rover v8 head as there cheep, but if was a head worth welding i wouldn't even bother trying with a mig espectaly a hobby machene let allong gasless.
ali sucks the heat out of the weld so it takes a LOT of power to get a good weld going. a hobby machene just wouldn't have the power even with preheating the head. i think you'd struggel to get a useable repair with an industrial mig thats desinged for ali.
