Hi all.
I have a few sets of alloys that all need some refurbishment,
I have the option of about 40 per alloy to pay to get them done or I can do the bulk of the work myself.
I have a few options as follows:
Sandblast with play sand in a homemade cabinet
wet sandblast them with pressure washer attachment I have lying about
chemical strip them (I have seen Caustic soda used a lot but it is corrosive to metal)
What would be the best and most cost-effective (time and money) method of doing this? Don't have a breathing apparatus currently.
Coating methods
Wet paint and laquear
or do I make my own powder coat oven out of an old chest freezer (or any other ideas?) and then can do more items on my car refurbishment.
Im trying to save as much money on this refurbishment as I can then put that money into the performance of the car.
Thank you all
Richard
