Came back from the inlaws with annual Nottingham cold.
Then I went all weird, passed out big style.
Paramedics, ambulances the whole nonsense.
The paramedic was good, to assess my level of competence he kept asking me what bike I had, I guess he saw the helmets on the way in. I could not remember, by the end of night I admitted I had a 'big one'. Of course to a fellow biker that is a great definer.
Awful stuff. I escaped on christmas eve and am being fetched back today for 'a few days' on IV antibiotics. Lovely, it seems I have a bacterial infection in my blood or something. Marvelous.
So I am trapped in the county Hospital Hereford if anybody wants to visit, my phone number is on my website. Bring cake but not fruit cake.
That has wiped me out.

Have to admit I've been feeling strange all over the weekend, to the point yesterday I was looking up the warning signs for a stroke !! Never had any problems like that before, and wouldn't place myself in the risk catagory for it though. The thing that worrying me is the symptoms are down my right side. Might go to the docs.

There should be no 'might' about it, get yourself there...probably nothing and loads of people ill at the moment including myself with mild flu type symptoms but anything that makes you think along the lines of a stroke should never be ignored.

Sorry to hear about the bugs Chunko.

I'm a bit too far to visit you.

But seeing as how weather is nice I could be persuaded to travel down to give your bike a deserving Christmas run if you wish.

Can't neglect the poor bike.

Joking aside, do as you are told, keep taking the medication and most important take it easy for a while when you are back up to steam.

Hi Tigler, rather than wait for the docs to open and get an appointment it's best to phone NHS direct, depending on the symptoms you describe don't be surprised if they suggest you take a trip up to your local A&E.

Though you say you feel you're not in the at risk category you may well be.

I'm at the age now where my black suit and tie gets aired more than I would wish, as old pals fall off their twigs

Many over the years, by appearances and lifestyle, didn't appear at risk, though they obviously were.
