One of these?thinking about it you would be better getting a x-y axis table then any small vice would be better than your current set-up

Anyone wish to reccomend a small GOOD milling machine manufacturer then please? Stepping into a new world ..Milling on a drilling machine, honest forget it, doesnt realy matter what vice you have, or thinking of getting, the drill is just not designed to do it--- ask me how I know, 13 speed drilling machine-- great at drilling---- crap at milling. and the chuck is likely to drop out with the vibrations and side force.

Yep..by the time I've paid out for add ons etc I might as well get a small milling machine... Thing is being told not to mill with a pillar drill on here! Although mine is a real heavyweight with a new keyless 13mm chuck.. I've got a great set of milling cutters too..oopps thought you had a miller...ive very lightly milled in the past with small end mills in my chuck, very very light but it got the job done...Look bud You seem to be running around here over all the advice, iff your going to mill once in a blue moon then save your money and try find a used mill/drill (asian origin) that will come with a x-y axis table, might come with a small milling vice, your able to drill with it and clamp stuff directly to the machines table and be fairly acuruate...There you go and easly got for well under £400 on a regular basis.
i only have a Naerok500 mill/drill but its ideal for my needs..incidently Naerok is Korean spelt backwards so thats the origin of my machine...ive found the clarke machines to be a bit lame iff ime honest and there are other better machines out there from Asia but with a better build quality...Ive also had in the past a heavy pillar drill which had a MT2 but also a drawbar enababling mill tooling collet holders ect to be used, now iff you could find an old english heavy drill with a hollow quill then that could be the machine for you alsoYep..by the time I've paid out for add ons etc I might as well get a small milling machine... So I am somewhat confused as to what's best to do.. I asked for a manufacturer for a milling machine Because I don't wish to buy a poor quality one.. Like my milling vice.. Looks good until you use it.. Any advice what to look for would be great.. Clarke perhaps?
