I wasn't expecting much from this item but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived.

Build quality is quite good, maybe not 3M quality but good enough for the job.

The straps work well and its easy to fit on your head and get it comfortable. Also easy to remove again with quick release tabs on the straps.

It sealed well on my face, even on my stubble. Blocked off the filter connections and I could suck the mask flat to my face and hold it there.

The supplied filters felt very light compared to 3M ones and the fit wasn't great. But genuine 3M ones fit perfectly so I suggest you buy the basic mask and use genuine filters with it.

I'll be getting another one to keep for painting, this one is for dusty work.

Any good d'you reckon for when I rip two lath and plastered ceilings down?

Looking for something that won't break the bank.

Then which one to pick? There seems to be options on the masks as in yellow, red or green bands around the filters?

Be perfect for that. I think it tells you somewhere what each filter does but prob easiest to look up the specs for the filters for a 6500 3M mask filter.

6500 is a half mask, the 6800 is a full face but both use the same filters (6000 series)
The 7000 series masks also use the same filters.
